Frosty weather, warm kitchen

I made walnut and dried cherry biscotti the other day.
I’d been re-watching the Great British Cooking Show and was inspired to try the biscotti.
It’s a twice baked cookie that dries out enough to last for quite a few days in a cookie jar on the counter.
They were so good that even though there is just my husband and myself, they didn’t last too many days.

Sourdough bread is my specialty.
I have been making bread all my married life and that's 50 years!
The children were even slightly (or perhaps more than slightly) embarrassed to always have sandwiches in their school lunches made from big slices of homemade wheat bread!
Freshly ground from organic wheat berries no less!
Now my husband is diabetic so I have switched to sourdough bread. The long fermenting process breaks down the gluten and renders the bread good for the diabetic.

I love the ease of sourdough and being creative with the designs.

I'm happy to share any of my tried and tested recipes. Just put a request in the comments.
Have a great December and I'll be visiting with you again soon.

Blessed

Isaiah 26:3-4
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.

I started this blog a few years ago, but now I want to get started again because I have more time to write and share my days with you.
